God's Plan of Salvation
Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?
If you died right now are you 100% sure that your sins are forgiven and that you have a home in heaven?
I would like to help you answer these questions by introducing you to someone that could change your life forever. First, please take a moment to understand why your life needs the change He gives.
- We have all sinned!
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"...sin is the transgression of the law" I John 3:4.
These verses tell us that we have not met God's Holy standard because we have broken His law. Compared to just 10 of God's laws (the Ten Commandments) it is clear that we are imperfect (sinful). Yes, even you.
"Written, there is none righteous, no not one:" Romans 3:10
So, we are all sinners. Should this bother us? YES!
- Sin has a penalty that must be paid!
God will punish our sin because He cannot let even one sin go unpunished. This is because God is just, and always does what is right.
"Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?" Genesis 18:25
So what penalty does God have to give to all men for breaking his law?
"For the wages of sin is death;..." Romans 6:23a
Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. Hell is called the second death, because this punishment awaits us after we die physically. Do you see now why something must change?
If nothing changes, we are all destined for eternity in Hell. God must punish sin to satisfy his justice, but God is "...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." II Peter 3:9
- Now, let me introduce you to Jesus Christ!
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son..."John 3:16a
Changing our sinful condition before God starts with God, not men. God loved us enough to send his son. What did his son Jesus Christ do when he came?
"Christ died for our sin according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4
How could Jesus die for our sins... didn't he sin too?
"Who (Christ) did not sin..."
So if he had no sin of his own, why did he die?
"Who (Christ) his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,"
Consider this: The penalty for our sin has been paid. Jesus Christ took our penalty(death) on himself to satisfy God's demand that sin be paid for. He also made a way for us to live with him when he rose from the grave.
- So how can the death of Christ benefit you?
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
By believing in Christ, God's Son, and what he did for you, you can have your sins forgiven and a home in heaven instead of an eternal punishment in Hell. Do you understand, or do you think that some other way is possible.
John 3:36 says "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
Luke 13:3 says "I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish."
The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. God has promised to save all those who will place their faith in Jesus Christ, calling out for the salvation that God offers. Will you place your faith in Christ and receive the promise of everlasting life?
Pray And Receive Christ As Your Savior
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to heaven. Forgive my sin, come into my life and be my Savior. Help me live for you from this day forward. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Everlasting life begins when we receive Christ as our Savior. Once you have trusted Christ you will want to live out your faith.
